As part of the Sound Studies and Sonic Arts exhibition under the lead of Prof. Daisuke Ishida, MAF presents his installation in the garden of Lietzenberg str 45., titled Object in Liminal Space.

In OILS, a central ultrasonic audio source is placed and modulated by orbiting surfaces to reflect, diffuse, and absorb a sound beam. Located within a small concrete passageway, the sculpture and sound bounce throughout the larger body. A beam of words moves through the viewer, inviting reflection on how space, materiality, and structure can manipulate a message emerging from an inconspicuous sound source.
