Absconding is a sign that the environmental conditions in the hive are too stressful for the bees. As long as they feel that they have little chance of survival in their current environment, they decide to leave. 'Absconding' is closely related to my relationship with bees: the passion for honey, and the fear of bees. Through the process of making this work, I began to contemplate my connection with bees and tried to explore the internal dimensions of climate change.
